and feathers of doves were ripped from their bodies
bonfires made from aged old trees.
sacred fire stolen from the gods,
the people laughed and grew drunk on wisdom.
Bodies melded into one.
man made immortal
fueled by pleasure and lust
grew young.
women by the seed of birth
and strength
aged no more
animals spoke
us beings as we are
did not hear
forget it they cried into the wind
as the earth spins again.
and humanity as ignorant as ever
dance on the flight of the feathers.
